In 2024, the Hyundai Elantra benefited from major updates to the style and technologies. With substantial changes made in 2024, there are only a few updates to the 2025 model year. At Metro Hyundai, we want you to love everything about your next car, and we are eager to help you compare the 2024 and 2025 versions of the popular Elantra sedan.

Performance

In 2024, the Elantra is available with two engines. These are a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 147-horsepower system and a turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder, 201-horsepower engine. The first engine has a continuously variable transmission, and the more powerful system includes a seven-speed, dual-clutch auto transmission. In 2025, the turbocharged engine is now paired with an updated suspension system for enhanced performance.

Appearance

In 2025, the Hyundai Elantra SEL is renamed the SEL Sport. In addition, the optional Convenience package is no longer available with the SEL trim. Instead, all of the features that were included in the optional package are standard in the all-new SEL Convenience trim level. This includes the 17-inch alloy wheels. Otherwise, the exterior is unchanged. The standout design includes chiseled, geometric accents on the sides and a swooping, defined hood. The nose shows off a short, wide grille that is directly integrated with slender, LED-topped headlights. The lower fascia is flanked by angled pillars and large air inlets.

Features

The 2024 and 2025 Elantra sedans are available with the same features on a trim-by-trim basis. The entry-level SE trim has forward collision mitigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch touch display screen, a blind-spot warning, a driver attention warning and lane keeping assistance. If you select a higher Elantra trim level, your sedan may also come with a driver attention earning, a digital gauge cluster, adaptive cruise control, a 10.25-inch touch display screen, a dual-zone auto climate control system, heated front seats, voice recognition, a sunroof, a Bose audio system, synthetic leather upholstery, rear auto braking and a surround-view camera.
